From 1910 to 2007 the Gay Meadow was home to Shrewsbury Town Football Club. Over a period of 97 years, more than 3,000 matches were played at the ground. This green patch of grass beside the River Severn was a place where dreams came true, hopes were sometimes dashed and a place where thousands of treasured memories were created. There was nowhere else like the Gay Meadow.

Shrews Tales & More is an intergenerational partnership project between the Federation of Stadium Communities, Shrewsbury Town Football Club, the shrewsTRUST (who maintain this site), Shropshire Council and Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin.

The Federation of Stadium Communities is a registered charity in England & Wales: No.1105527. Company registered in England: No.4773288.
