Shrews Tales & More ^© captures the memories and experiences of the former players from Shrewsbury Town Football Club, its supporters and local people. Shrews Tales & More ^© provides a setting which enables pupils to develop their expertise and interests within the curriculum using Shrewsbury Town Football Club, past and present, as a learning medium. The project has created a suite of oral history interviews, handling boxes and memorabilia, picture packs, a mobile exhibition and contemporary art, all to be used as learning and reminiscence resources focusing on Shrewsbury Town Football Club and the local distinctiveness of the community.

Shrews Tales & More^© has created a permanent archival record of our history, produced and captured by local people for local people.

This eighteen month partnership project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund saw the Federation of Stadium Communities working with local schools, Shrewsbury Town Football Club, The shrews TRUST, Age UK Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire Museums, Libraries & Archives, WRVS and Shropshire Council Education Department. It has been innovative and meaningful, developing the skills of pupils, creating volunteering opportunities and educational material for both young and old. Above all, Shrews Tales & More^© has brought people together to celebrate history and become a part of history themselves.
